3D Fair Weather Support
How to get help
- Email: support@fairwx.com.
- Testing a beta in TestFlight: take a screenshot while 3D Fair Weather is open and tap Share Beta Feedback, or open the TestFlight app, choose 3D Fair Weather and tap Send Beta Feedback.
It helps to mention your device, its software version, the place the broadcast is showing and what was on screen when the problem happened.
Using the broadcast
- Choosing a place: select the magnifying glass at the bottom of the screen and search for a town, city or address. Star a place to keep it as a favorite. Current Location returns to where you are.
- Skipping ahead: select the segment name at the bottom left. On Apple TV, press Play/Pause. On a Mac, press the Space bar.
- The spoken briefing: select the speaker button to turn it on or off. It plays during the almanac, near the end of each rotation.
- On Apple TV: swipe on the remote to move along the controls at the bottom of the screen, and press to select one. Selecting a weather alert shows it in full, with a code to scan with your phone for Apple Weather's page about it.
- On iPad: add the 3D Fair Weather widget from the Home Screen. It shows the place the app is broadcasting and keeps itself up to date.
Before you write
- The broadcast shows the wrong place: choose your place in Search, or allow Location for 3D Fair Weather in Settings.
- There are no radar, rain or wind maps: they come from the US National Weather Service and cover the contiguous United States only. Elsewhere those segments are left out.
- The briefing sounds plain: with Apple Intelligence on, the briefing and alert summaries are written on your device. Without it, a standard briefing is read instead.
- The widget is empty: open 3D Fair Weather once, so the widget knows which place to show.
3D Fair Weather is for general information. Don't rely on it in an emergency: follow your local weather service and emergency officials. Aviation weather is shown for interest, not for flight planning or navigation.
